Creativity Champions

Dedicated to advancing creativity as a national and global value

We're all on the Internet (perhaps too much) and we're using all kinds of tools for collaboration, creativity and communication. Share some of your favorite.

Here are the tools I'm using (on this site and elsewhere):

www.ning.com - The platform that powers this community.

www.earfl.com - This allows you to record via the telephone and post recordings into blogs and web sites.

www.flickr.com - You can post images here, create albums and create image streams to other sites.

www.wordpress.com - A free blog tool I use for my classes - see this example for the class I'm teaching at the School of the Art Institute.

www.slideshare.net - Upload your PowerPoint presentations to this site then create a widget to embed in web sites or blogs that showcase your work. This widget is in the lower right hand nav.

www.springwidgets.com - A source for tons of customizable widgets. I'm using one that grabs the blog entries from my "Politics of Creativity" blog.

http://picasa.google.com/ - similar to Flickr but I found it easier to use.

http://www.livejournal.com/ - I'm a bit erratic at doing journalling but it is a great place for many of friends to just check on me achievements. One person recently hadn't realised that such places existed.

I use wikipedia to find out how things work/go/etc especially in my current academic studies.....then I go find the hardcopy info, as I'm aware that this stuff is not always put together by real good scholars etc.

I just put my book online via lulu.com - "America Needs You! Why You Should Become a Creativity Champion" at http://stores.lulu.com/store.php?fAcctID=2081536. There was no charge to upload my text and prep it for printing-on-demand. I linked the payment process to my PayPal account.
